Train the Trainer (FETAC Level 6)

Course Objectives

Learners who successfully complete this module will:

  • Understand different learning styles
  • Understand the functions and processes of learning and training
  • Evaluate different approaches to training
  • Appreciate the importance of training on an individual, social and economic level
  • Work effectively with a range of Learner groups
  • Design, deliver and evaluate training programmes
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment methods

  • Theory of Training and Adult Learning
  • Role of the Trainer
  • Training Needs Analysis & Programme Design
  • Preparing for Training Delivery
  • Delivery & Assessment
  • Evaluation of Training

Delivery:  Five day Class Room Based Instruction.

Assessment: Candidates are required to complete a 30 Minute Presentation also a portfolio. Competency will be assessed using this portfolio.

Accreditation: FETAC Train the Trainer Level 6 Award

Entry Requirements: Learners are required to have achieved Leaving Certificate or an equivalent level of qualification.
